I love stories, any story, especially stories with kissing. Books, TV shows, movies––if there’s love, I’m so in. Originally from Southern California, I now live in Hollywood, Florida with my family and two carrot-loving rescue dogs––a poodle-mix named Houdini Beauregarde and Sheba Reba Rita Peanut, a chihuahua-mix.
Houdini was found running on the side of the 95 highway in North Miami during a thunderstorm and was rescued by the good people at Grateful Paws. Even though I wasn’t looking for a dog, he was such an affectionate, sweet guy that he stole my heart. A few weeks later, Houdini joined the family.
Sheba Reba Rita Peanut
We rescued Sheba from the animal shelter on the day she was scheduled to be put down because she’d been deemed too aggressive for adoption. With patience and some help from her good friend, Houdini, she is now a sweetheart who enjoys cuddling under the covers, chasing curly-tailed lizards, and eating carrots.
